BPW St. Kitts – Press Release :The Business and Professional Women’s Club of St. Kitts expresses delight at the appointment of Mrs. Akilah Byron‐Nisbett as a Senator. This appointment brings the female Parliamentarians count to three (3) of sixteen (16) Parliamentarians, which is still below the recommended 33.5% but certainly a move in the right direction.

BPW congratulates the UNITY Government on the appointment and assignment of 50% of its senatorial seats to the fairer sex, both highly professional women and well deserving. We celebrate with Mrs. Byron‐Nisbett and wish her success in this endeavor. We note our support as she ascends to represent the women and people of St. Kitts Nevis
