Heads of Silver Lake households affected by the fire of December 26th received their first installment of financial assistance today, Thursday. Prime Minister Skerrit announced the commitment on Wednesday (Ref: http://www.opm.gov.dm/?p=1877).

The brief presentation ceremony was preceded by remarks by Reginald Austrie, Minister for Housing, Lands, and Water Resource Management; Justina Charles, Minister for Youth, Sports, Culture and Constituency Empowerment and; Catherine Daniel, Minister for Social Services, Family and Gender Affairs.
