Dr. Harris, who also serves as CARICOM’s lead spokesperson on human resource, health and HIV matters, has been holding the Constituency #7 Health Walk for several years.

With chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), also known as lifestyle diseases, becoming a significant issue in the Caribbean region, Prime Minister Harris hosts the monthly health walks in a bid to promote healthier lifestyles among his constituents.

According to Dr. Harris, the health walk is intended to encourage all persons to engage in unplanned physical activities and underscores the importance of an exercise regime that can lead to good health.

Saturday’s health walk will commence in Belle Vue at 5:30am and end at the Ottley’s hard court where participants will be treated to a light breakfast.
