Celebrating Excellence In St. Kitts Tourism

unnamed (2)BASSETERRE (12th April, 2017): The St. Kitts Tourism Authority will celebrate those individuals and businesses that put in the most effort to make tourism a success and attract more visitors.

The prestigious Tourism Awards Banquet, which is St. Kitts’ premier awards event recognizing outstanding industry achievements, will take place on the 20th May at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort.

The nominations process for the awards is now open, and the general public is invited to nominate tourism stakeholders in the following categories:

-The People’s Choice

-Pillar of the Industry

-Achievement of Excellence

-Kittitian Experience Award

-Sustainable Tourism Award

-National Champion Award

-Employee of the Year Award

-Award of Excellence

Nominations can take place by completing an online form from the following web address:

Minister of Tourism The Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, said the St. Kitts Tourism Industry has a lot to celebrate about, and that most stakeholders are operating with the goal of exceeding visitor expectations.

“The Tourism Awards is a celebration of excellence in our tourism industry, and these awards recognize those who have consistently demonstrated a high standard of service,” Minister Grant said. “It is they who lead the industry in creating outstanding products and services for visitors, and generating growth and jobs in an industry that drives our economy.”

The St. Kitts Tourism Experience Awards has become one of the most significant events on St. Kitts’ calendar, bringing together industry leaders and professionals in recognition of their outstanding efforts, in the various tourism sector businesses on the island.

Nominations for the 2017 Tourism Awards closes on 20th April, 2017.
