This morning (Monday, 23rd April, 2018) His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP received in audience Her Excellency Ms. Zana Rudi Ambassador Designate Rudi is the first Ambassador from the Republic of Kosovo to be accredited to Saint Kitts and Nevis since her Country’s attainment of Independence in 2008.
She is resident in Panama where the Embassy of the Republic of the Republic Kosovo is located and accompanied on this visit by Minister Counsellor at the Embassy Mr. Naser Miftari.
Kosovo was formerly part of Serbia which was originally part of Yugoslavia. Since its Independence in 2008, Kosovo has been recognized by 114 of the 193 Member States of the United Nations and by 23 of the 28 members of the European Union.
Kosovo has an average age of 26 and its population is the youngest in Europe. Her Excellency Ambassador Rundi previously worked with the World Bank and the United Nations and also served as Charge D’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo before her promotion to the post of Ambassador.
His Excellency The Governor-General and Ambassador Rudi engaged in discussion with respect to issues of mutual importance including matters relating to information technology and the youth and the roles of Kosovo and Saint Kitts and Nevis on the International stage.
