His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP on Sunday 23 rd September 2018 attended the 6+ Anniversary Service of the Epworth Maurice Hillier Memorial Junior School held at the Wesley Methodist Church. Sir Tapley was a student at this School some 63 years ago in 1955, two years after the school was launched. The Governor-General read the First Lesson and was pleased to meet and greet former Head Teacher Mrs., Veronica Phillip, MBE and former Teacher Mrs. Maureen Edwards and other present staff and students.

Meanwhile, His Excellency continues to receive Independence Day Messages from Heads of State including Her Excellency Tsai Ing-Wen President of the Republic of China (Taiwan), His Excellency Enrique Pena Nieto, President of the United Mexican States, His Majesty King Carl Gustaf of Sweden, His Excellency Frank- Walter Steinmeir, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Mr. Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
