BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, September 26, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister)– Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris’ busy schedule of engagements on the fringe of the 73rd Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City continued early today with a meeting with his colleague Prime Minister of St. Maarten, Leona Romeo-Marlin.

During that meeting, the two Caribbean leaders discussed matters of mutual interests, including the strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

Upon invitation, Prime Minister Harris also attended a summit-level meeting of the United Nations Security Council chaired by United States President Donald Trump. That meeting sought to address counter-proliferation efforts – a broad theme that includes denuclearization of North Korea, Iran’s nuclear and missile technology capabilities, and chemical weapons in Syria.
