BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, November 8, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, will this coming Sunday (November 11) worship with the congregation of the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God on Main Street in Tabernacle in honour of his 25th anniversary as a Parliamentarian and as the Parliamentary Representative for Constituency Seven (Belle Vue to Ottley’s).
The church service, which commences at 10 am, forms part of a calendar of events being organized by the Constituency Group, to celebrate 25 consecutive years of stellar representation and service by Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris to the people of his constituency and the country in general.
Last Sunday (November 4), Prime Minister Harris and members of his family worshipped at the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God, where he was anointed with oil by Senior Pastor Octavia Charles-Warner.
“I was first elected on the 29th of November way back in 1993, and God has been wonderfully good. I want to thank all the people who have been there, who have given support, and in particular to thank this church and all the churches. This church, like so many in the Constituency, has been a source of comfort and encouragement,” Dr. Harris said while addressing the congregation. He also used the occasion to invite all to come and worship with him again on Sunday, November 11.
Other celebratory activities in recognition of Prime Minister Harris’ 25thanniversary as a Parliamentarian include visits to schools and other institutions throughout Constituency Seven, a special town hall meeting and appearances by the Prime Minister on several popular radio call-in programmes.
Additional information on Dr. Harris’ 25th anniversary celebrations will be announced today (November 8) during a live press conference at the Edgar T. Morris Primary School at 4pm.
Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris was first elected as a Member of Parliament on November, 29, 1993, and has overwhelmingly won his seat in five consecutive elections. Dr. Harris became the third Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis in 2015.
