His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP this morning (Tuesday 13th November, 2018) visited Mrs. Laura Manners who today celebrated her 100th Birthday. His Excellency conveyed best wishes to Mrs. Manners whom he has known from his childhood as she and her family were his neighbours.

His Excellency congratulated Mrs. Manners and presented the new Centenarian with a Birthday Card from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Second on this milestone achievement and thanked her for her long dedicated contribution to nation building and wished her many more years. Family members and friends joined in the celebration and staff of the Community Development wished her well on behalf of the Government and presented her with a gift basket and bouquet of flowers.

 

On Sunday evening (11th November, 2018) His Excellency attended the Ordination Service of Rev. Father Darren Carlos of the Anglican Church. The Ceremony which was conducted by His Lordship The Right Reverend Errol Brookes, Bishop of the Diocese of the North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba took place at the St. George’s Parish Church Basseterre and was attended by a large congregation of parishioners and well-wishers.
