BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, November 26, 2018 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – The Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris has credited his personal growth, development and success over his 25-year political life to the power of prayer and the unwavering support of the people.

“Whenever there are moments of doubts – and there have been many moments of doubt – I always call on somebody to say a word of prayer,” Prime Minister Harris said on Sunday (November 25) when he delivered brief remarks during a heartwarming service at the Liberty New Testament Church of God in Molineux.

The Prime Minister continued, “You marvel, why not pray for yourself? Sometimes you need an intercessor, sometimes perhaps we need somebody more worthy than we are to praise up God and to hold up God and to ask Him to intervene in our lives.”

Invoking God’s blessings has been a staple in the celebrations to mark Dr. Harris’ 25th anniversary of service to the people as a Parliamentarian. In fact, the celebratory activities kicked off with worship at the House of Deliverance New Testament Church of God on Main Street in Tabernacle on November 11 and continued with a thanksgiving service at the Antioch Baptist Church one week later on November 18.

“I want to say a special thank you to all the people in St. Kitts and Nevis who believe in God, who work for God, who champion Godliness in our society, and I especially want to thank all the prayer warriors, some known and some unknown, who everyday hold up our beautiful country and people in prayer, seeking grace, mercy and prosperity for this, the land which we all love,” the Prime Minister said.

Prime Minister Harris also expressed his profound gratitude towards the people of Constituency #7 (Belle Vue to Ottley’s), which he represents at the Parliamentary level, for their unwavering support over the last 25 years.

“It has been really special, and this journey over the last 25 years has been made so special only because I could have counted first on the people of #7. From Belle Vue to Ottley’s, on every occasion, you have come through for me,” Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris added.
