Basseterre, St. Kitts, December 11, 2018 (SKNIS): The Department of Youth Empowerment will recognize the valuable contributions of individuals and companies that have enhanced the work of the department and the development of young people when it hosts the 3rd Annual Youth Service Reception on Wednesday (December 12, 2018). The event will be held at the Ocean Terrace Inn (OTI) at 6 p.m.

This year marks the first time that tokens of appreciations will be presented to the youth partners and corporate sponsors.

Acting Director of Youth Empowerment, Pierre Liburd, noted that the department was pleased to present the tokens. He said that the awards are intended to serve as tangible reminders to the recipients of the contributions that they are making to advance the department’s programmes. It is also intended to encourage the awardees to continue making a difference in the lives of the nation’s youth.
