The brief ceremony took place in New York at the Permanent Mission of San Marino on 1st February 2019, where the Permanent Representatives further discussed areas for bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

This step to further strengthen our bilateral relations comes shortly after the two countries established diplomatic relations in September 2018.

San Marino, landlocked within Italy, is the 3rd smallest state in Europe and one of the smallest in the world, with a population of 35,000. Similar to St. Kitts and Nevis, tourism and banking are two economic activities that drive the San Marino economy.
