INDEPENDENCE AWARDEE PROFILE – J CALVIN FAHIE

Mr J. Calvin Fahie was enlisted as a Police Cadet in the Royal St Christopher Nevis and Anguilla Police Force on August 22nd 1967.  On August 1st 1968 he was elevated to Police Constable and received training at the Regional Police Training Center in Barbados from October 1968 to April 1969.

From 1969 to 2004 he performed various duties and served in multiple positions including Special Branch, Beat and Patrol, Judges Orderly, Chief Instructor (Police Training School), Station Officer, Court Prosecutor, Divisional Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police and ultimately Commissioner of Police until his retirement in August 2004.

During the period 1973 to 2004 Mr Fahie attended many training courses locally, regionally and internationally inclusive of the well-known Overseas Command Course at BramsHill in the UK.

He is a Life Member of the Association of Caribbean Commissioners of Police (ACCP), Life Member of the International Association of Commissioners of Police (IACP), Member of the Saint Kitts and Nevis Red Cross Society and Member of the Brown Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church.

Mr J Calvin Fahie is married, father of three (3) and grandfather of seven (7).

TODAY WE PROUDLY SALUTE MR J CALVIN FAHIE FOR THE COMPANION OF THE STAR OF MERIT IN THE FIELD OF POLICING AND COMMUNITY SERVICE.
