The Ministry of Education is currently accepting applications for teaching positions to be filled for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.

ALL applicants will be obliged to attend a two weeks Pre-Service Seminar/Workshop at the Advanced Vocational Education Centre (AVEC) daily from 8th through 19th July, 2019.

Successful applicants must have the minimum qualifications of FIVE CSEC subjects, including English Language, Mathematics, a Social Science subject and a Science to be considered to teach at the Early Childhood or Primary Level.

Individuals, who wish to teach at the Secondary Level, must possess at least FIVE CSEC subjects including English Language and the relevant passes at the CAPE Level or above for the Secondary/High School.

Additionally, prospective teachers will be required to sit a literacy and numeracy test.

ALL applications can be collected at the Ministry of Education, Cayon Street and should be returned, addressed to the Chief Education Officer, NO LATER THAN Friday, 7th June, 2019.
