Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 09, 2019 (RSCNPF): Police are investigating an incident at sea after responding to a report of a drowning in the Saddlers area Saturday morning (September 07).

Enquiries so far have revealed that 23-year-old Marcus Rubaine of Saddlers and one other person went diving at Lavington Bay at about 7 a.m. Sometime later, Rubaine experienced difficulty at sea and drowned. His body was removed from the water by a civilian, brought to the shore and the Emergency Medical Services was summoned. The District Medical Doctor arrived at the scene and pronounced him dead. Technicians from the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.
