| Charlestown, Nevis, March 18, 2021 – The Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA) hosted a global webinar for the travel trade community on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, to unveil its new promotional video #JustBeNevis, and share information on the destination’s wellness experiences and service providers. Over 280 participants registered for the webinar, a mix of travel advisors and tour operators, with select influencers and media representatives. Attendees came from all regions of the United States and Canada, and from as far away as Brazil, France, Italy, India and Saudi Arabia. “We are thrilled with the response to our webinar, which indicates that there is intense interest in Nevis,” declared Jadine Yarde, CEO of the Nevis Tourism Authority. “We made a strategic decision to tap into the wellness community, as our product and brand values align perfectly with the philosophies and aspirations of this market. Consumers today are focused on their well-being, in their daily lives as well as on vacation.” Ms. Yarde was joined by NTA representatives Yvette Jackman and Alexis Arthurton, and together they delivered an informative and entertaining destination update, highlighting Nevis’ boutique resorts, wellness centers, spas, yoga practitioners, sports fitness events and more. Uncrowded beaches, lush landscapes and a range of delectable cuisines including vegan fare make Nevis the destination of choice for today’s traveler. The island is ideally positioned to attract travelers who embrace healthy lifestyles and practices, or who simply desire a respite from the stresses of everyday life. With very few COVID cases, no fatalities or community transmission, and a robust vaccination program currently taking place on island, Nevis offers a safe and healthy vacation experience.
