BASSETERRE, St. Kitts, March 29, 2021 (Press Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister) – Deputy Prime Minister and Political Leader of the People’s Action Movement (PAM), the Honourable Shawn Richards, came in for high praise and appreciation from Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris for his continuing and unwavering support. 

Prime Minister Harris, the Political Leader of the People’s Labour Party (PLP), was at the time delivering a highly energetic and captivating speech at his party’s National Convention on Saturday, March 27, at the Ottley’s Playing Field.

Addressing an audience of party supporters and well-wishers, Prime Minister Harris said, “I want also to record my appreciation really to the entire Cabinet but also to the deputy prime minister who has been a good support and a good friend.”

The honourable prime minister also reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the Team Unity coalition, noting that it is the tripartite coalition of parties that will continue to deliver the stronger and safer future for all the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. 

“In spite of very difficult moments, when the country needed us we have been able to go beyond personal convenience and personal ambitions to put St. Kitts and Nevis first and foremost,” said Dr. Harris.
