Basseterre, St. Kitts, August 04, 2021 (SKNIS): Dr. Moyia Rowtham, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College (CFBC), said that attending the institution is an important venture as it offers a gateway to increased opportunities.
“It is a great educational opportunity at a lower price that is here within the Federation. You also have the situation where you may have younger persons who may not know what they want to do and so the CFBC offers young individuals leaving high school an opportunity to come and explore, to make decisions about what they would really want to do later on,” said Dr. Rowtham, during her August 04 appearance on Working for You. “It is also a pathway for undergraduate degrees.”
Dr. Rowtham noted that CFBC is a place to improve one’s academic standing.
“The college is a safe haven if you would want to call it that, but one which is meaningful. It is also that place where individuals in our society do not have the credentials to move on. We are talking about our older population as we do not only cater to those who are leaving secondary school but individuals who do not have the necessary credentials and want to upskill. The college is that place to come,” Dr. Rowtham added.
She said that the college also offers courses to persons who are skilled but who are not certified.
“There are those among us who are skilled individuals but have no certification. Of course, we cannot forget our Technical and Vocational Division. And so, the college is that place to come and get certified as it relates to persons augmenting their opportunities in that regard,” said the vice president.
Vice President Dr. Rowtham encouraged the general to reach out to the CFBC to discover what the college has to offer.
