PRESS RELEASE (August 05, 2021) — The St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association (SKNYPA) is the recipient of a platinum sponsorship by New Generation Engineering, a local company operating in Basseterre, St. Kitts.
At a handing over ceremony held at SKNYPA’s Secretariat on Wednesday, August 04, 2021, a $5,000 cheque was presented to SKNYPA by the company’s General Manager and founder, Mr. Nubian Greaux. The monetary donation will assist in executing activities that SKNYPA has planned for its 20th anniversary.
Mr. Greaux said at the ceremony that “it was a pleasure for us to involve ourselves in this partnership and our civic responsibility in these tough times…and to make sure the youths have an environment and platform to grow.”
Ms. Patrice Harris, President of SKNYPA, while accepting the donation used the opportunity to express her gratitude and that of the association to Mr. Greaux and his company for their kind donation.
“We are happy for companies like New Generation Engineering that have shown that they are corporate partners to associations like ours…so we want to thank Mr. Greaux for his donation, and we will ensure we put it to good use,” Ms. Harris said.

SKNYPA will celebrate its 20th anniversary over a 20-day period with activities including but not limited to, a Parliament Sitting, regional panel discussion, a scholarship and mentorship program, charity initiative, debate competition, and cocktail reception, among others. The St. Kitts National Youth Parliament Association continues to be a voice for young people in St. Kitts and Nevis and aims to fight for the free involvement of young people in nation-building.
The handing over ceremony was also attended by the association’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Malakhi Ferguson, and Mr. Haniff Charles, Chairperson of SKNYPA’s Anniversary Committee.
