Basseterre, St. Kitts, September 16, 2021 (SKNIS): 
As St. Kitts and Nevis celebrates its 38th Anniversary of Independence, Her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes, O.R.T.T. President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, conveyed sincere congratulations to the Government and People of the twin-island Federation.

A Diplomatic Note addressed to His Excellency Sir S.W. Tapley Seaton, Governor-General of St. Kitts and Nevis reads:

“Your Excellency, on behalf of the Government and People of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and on my own behalf, I am pleased to extend to you and to the Government and People of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, greetings and congratulations on the occasion of your country’s Independence Day,” wrote President Paula-Mae Weekes. “Please accept, Your Excellency, every good wish for your personal well-being and for the continued progress and prosperity of the People of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The note was sent from the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. The ministry availed itself of the opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation of Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, the assurances of its highest consideration. 

St. Kitts and Nevis will celebrate 38 years of Independence on September 19, 2021, under the theme: “Adapt, Diversify, Recreate: Independence 38”
