“Allow me to reaffirm the commitment of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to strengthening the bonds of friendship that have existed between our two countries. I look forward to working with you to bring new impetus to the pursuit of our bilateral and regional interests,” Honourable Amery wrote.

Meanwhile, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, His Excellency Mohamed Irfaan Ali, noted in a congratulatory message to Prime Minister Drew that “I look forward to working with you to further the relations which so happily exist between our two countries and peoples, and to contribute to the advancement of the regional integration process, particularly the CARICOM Single Market and Economy.”

The letter continued, “Our two countries also share the distinction of being partners with the Federative Republic of Brazil in a Partial Scope Agreement aimed at promoting trade with that country.”

President Ali said that the two agreements “provide ample scope for a robust agenda of mutual cooperation and collaboration” that will benefit the people of St. Kitts and Nevis and Guyana.
