My dear citizens and residents, I extend heartfelt New Year’s Greetings to you. I wish you peace and contentment throughout the New Year 2023.

Each new year brings renewed hope and excitement as we plan ahead, setting our goals and ambitions for the upcoming months.

Hope is the desire for improvement in our life’s circumstances. It not only helps to make a difficult situation more bearable, but it also has the potential to enhance our lives in the long run since hoping for a better future inspires action.

Whether we realize it or not, everyone’s life includes hope. Everyone has dreams and aspirations. It’s a fundamental aspect of being human.

So, this New Year 2023, I say remain hopeful. Keep aspiring. Be BOLD in your actions. Remain steadfast and grateful always.

I extend gratitude today to you, my fellow citizens and residents, for entrusting me and my Cabinet, to fulfill the mandate you have set before us. You have blessed us with your confidence and have been patient in the face of uncertainty.

Trust and the capacity for cooperation and consensus-building are especially crucial in good governance. It is evident that you have faith in our ability to cooperate for the security, well-being, and future of our country. Your faith in us as your Government is appreciated and valued.

The year ahead will be one of transition, renewed vision, and growth.
Our economy is set to experience a steady recovery as we transition out of the pandemic era and continue our transformation into a sustainable island state.

Your St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration sincerely pledges to put in much-needed effort on behalf of each citizen and resident of this nation to raise the standard of living and build a better St. Kitts and Nevis. This will be based on our seven (7) foundational pillars to provide Food Security, Green Energy Transition, Economic Diversification, Sustainable Industries, a Creative Economy, COVID-19 Recovery, and Social Protection.

Our intent is to pursue, fiercely, new initiatives throughout the course of the upcoming year that will enable us to accomplish some of the key goals that will chart the course for sustainable growth of our nation and make St. Kitts and Nevis a BETTER place to live, work, and visit.

My dear brothers and sisters, we have an opportunity to revive the foundational areas of our economy and advance in brand-new ones. By revitalizing the economy and moving on with our plan to transform our Federation, we must overcome the obstacles and ground lost during the recent past. However, we would accomplish very little without the tenacity and devotion of the men and women who work in the many sectors of the economy. To this I say thank you!

I am confident that the extraordinary resilience, fortitude, and compassion we have witnessed in our communities over the past years will continue to motivate and inspire us in this upcoming year, 2023.

There is much to do, but we are off to a terrific start, and I am excited about the wonderful prospects 2023 and the next four years have to offer.

Our St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party Administration looks forward to inserting our imprint on the further development of our Federation. Our various Ministries have outlined numerous innovative and life-changing projects to kick the transformation process into a higher gear.

With our Budget now passed, we look forward to a full year to implement some of our stellar sectoral policies under our seven (7) pillars of development as pledged during the August 2022 Election Campaign.

2023 is a year of renewed hope, revolutionary
changes, and inspiring advancements.

Let’s celebrate everything that unites us, as we approach the New Year, and make a new commitment to be each other’s keepers and put Country Above Self.

I wish you all a Bright and Prosperous New Year!

God Bless You and Your Family.

God Bless our beloved nation, St. Kitts and Nevis!
