POVERTY ALLEVIATION PROGRAMME PAYMENTS RESUME

Basseterre, St. Kitts. January 18, 2023- The Bank of Nevis Limited is partnering with the Department of Sports to produce the Basseterre Zone Public Primary School Championship, at the Kim Collins Stadium, on January 19 . The Bank of Nevis Ltd. is using the platform to underscore its commitment to social development through sport.
The Basseterre Zone features the Irish Town Primary, Tucker Clarke Primary, Beach Allen Primary and the Dr. William Connor Primary schools.
Confirmation of the Bank of Nevis Ltd’s commitment came in the form of a cheque handing over ceremony, to the Department of Sports, during a brief ceremony, today (January 18). Students and staff from four schools in the zone were also present.
“This donation is indicative of overall commitment to support activities, athletic and academic, that contribute to the growth and development of our youth,” said Ms. Starlina Roserie, Bank of Nevis Ltd Head of St. Kitts Operations and Corporate Banking.
“The Bank of Nevis has answered our call for assistance to address costs incurred with the hosting of the meet. Hopefully it one step toward a long and fruitful relationship,” Acting Director of Sport Jeffery Hazel responded, while accepting the cheque.
Bank of Nevis Ltd. has been serving St. Kitts and Nevis community since 1985. The Bank has been at the forefront of development, providing funding for tourism projects, affordable housing, education, small business development and corporate expansion since.
The Department of Sports is mandated by the Ministry of Sport to engage the federation’s youth in sports, to aid in their overall development.
