SKELEC TO CONDUCT DRILLS FOR SAFETY & SECURITY WEEK

Basseterre, St. Kitts (April 26th, 2023)— On Wednesday 26th April 2023 SKELEC’s Safety and Security Department will be engaging in a simulation drill.  

The company’s Administrative Building, Annex Building, and Generation Power Plant will all be the sites of the SKELEC Simulation Drills. Additionally, a drill for the company’s linesmen will take place at Shearlane. This activity is a part of the week-long commemoration of Safety and Health Day under the theme “A safe and healthy working environment is a fundamental principle and right at work.”

SKELEC’s Safety and Security department has organized a week of events, which will include a joint church service with the Labor Department on April 23, a lunch and learn about basic first aid on April 24, a radio program with the Fire Service Department on April 25, a workshop on safety and security on April 26, a Socacize on April 27, a lunch and learn about healthy eating habits on April 28, and a hike to Lawyer Stephens Cave and Waterfall on April 29. At SKELEC Safety remains our number one priority.
