FARMERS INVITED TO CROP DISTRICT CONSULTATIONS AT AGRICULTUREDEPARTMENT

(MOA Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 13 2023);

The Department of Agriculture St. Kitts, through its Crop Division extends an invitation to all
Crop Farmers and persons interested in farming to a series of key consultations this week, that will
focus on the strategy implemented to help St. Kitts and Nevis achieve the Caribbean Community
(CARICOM) goal to achieve 25% agricultural growth by the year 2025.

Topics to be discussed include Target Crops, Planting Schedule and Assistance from the
Government for the 25 By 25 Initiative, Innovation and Technology, Best Practices in Crop
Management and more.

The consultations are set to take place in three farm districts on the following dates:

 Tuesday 14th November in District 2 (Ottley’s to Dieppe Bay)
 Wednesday, 15th November in District 1 (Challengers to Whytes Cayon)
 Wednesday, 22nd November District 3 (St. Paul’s to Old Road)

All meetings are scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Large Conference Room at the Department of
Agriculture, La Guerite.

Interested persons are asked to email agriculture@gov.kn or contact the Department of Agriculture at
467-1841 for further information.
