The four-year term of the current Executive Director (ED) will end in July 2024. The Board of Governors of the Foundation is responsible for appointing the next ED on the basis of an EU-proposed candidate for the post.

It is expected that the Board of Governors will decide on this appointment at its meeting in April or May 2024. It is hoped that the person appointed will be available to take up the post in Hamburg on 7 July 2024.
