BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS – October 2, 2024 – The Honorable Konris Maynard, Minister of Information, Communication and Technology for St. Kitts and Nevis, has been elected as Vice President of the Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) during the General Conference of Ministers held on October 2nd. This pivotal election positions the federation to play a significant role in the rollout of new technology across the region.

Minister Maynard’s election as Vice President presents a strategic opportunity for St. Kitts and Nevis to influence the development and implementation of cutting-edge telecommunications solutions that can enhance connectivity and innovation throughout the Caribbean. As Vice President, Minister Maynard will focus on key areas such as expanding broadband access, enhancing cybersecurity measures, and promoting sustainable technological development. His election is seen as a vital step towards ensuring that the Caribbean remains competitive in an increasingly digital world.
