“It is my job on behalf of the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis to welcome you and your crew and all of your wonderful passengers to our beautiful destination. We also have a lot more to offer than the sun and the sand,” said Minister Henderson. “We do have a destination filled with culture, history, and untouched sites. The destination is known for its authentic experiences and I hope that you would find some time, Captain, to venture deeper and explore St. Kitts.”

Captain Paolo Ravera, in command of the Sapphire Princess, warmly welcomed Minister Henderson and her team aboard the ship, expressing his pleasure in leading such a prestigious vessel. He noted the Caribbean as a favoured destination for many travellers and shared his excitement to visit St. Kitts and Nevis, highlighting the island’s appeal.

The event was also attended by key tourism and port officials, including Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority (SKTA) Kelly Fontenelle, Chief Operations Officer of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority (SCASPA) Calvin Duggins, and Port Operations Supervisor of the Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies, Jamal Pitt.
