The Prime Minister emphasized the Christophe Harbour project as a cornerstone of the
government’s broader strategy to diversify the economy and enhance the Federation’s
reputation as a premier global tourism destination. He outlined the immense benefits the
project is expected to bring, including significant job creation, increased tourism revenue,
and enhanced international investment. “This is not just another development,” Dr. Drew
remarked. “It is a project that aligns with our sustainable island state agenda, leveraging
our natural beauty and resources while prioritizing economic resilience and environmental
responsibility.”

Dr. Drew highlighted his administration’s dedication to ensuring that the Christophe
Harbour development is executed with full transparency and accountability. He assured
the public that every step of the project has been meticulously reviewed to safeguard
national interests and maximize benefits for the people of St. Kitts and Nevis. “Our
approach is one of inclusivity and prudence. We are committed to keeping the public
informed and to ensuring that this project sets a new standard for responsible
development in our region.”

The Prime Minister also noted that the Christophe Harbour initiative will serve as a catalyst
for broader economic activities, including local entrepreneurship and community
development. The project is designed to create opportunities not only in tourism but also in
ancillary industries such as construction, hospitality services, and cultural enterprises.
“This development will create pathways for our people to participate and benefit from the
growth it brings. It will strengthen our economy and enrich the lives of our citizens,” the
Prime Minister explained.

The Christophe Harbour development has long been envisioned as a flagship project for
St. Kitts, promising to combine luxury accommodations, world-class amenities, and a
commitment to environmental stewardship. Under the Drew administration, the project has
gained renewed momentum, with a focus on ensuring that its execution adheres to

international best practices and aligns with the government’s overarching goal of
sustainable development.
As the negotiations near completion, Prime Minister Drew expressed optimism about the
future of the project and the broader implications it holds for the Federation. “Christophe
Harbour will not only enhance our standing as a world-class destination but also
demonstrate the kind of transformative leadership and vision that this administration brings
to the table. We are building a legacy of growth, resilience, and opportunity.”
