Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan) (23rd January, 2025) — The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the Republic of China (Taiwan) presented cameras to secondary schools on Saint Kitts to aid in the implementation of the sister school initiative with Taiwanese schools and other programs that require the use of state-of-the-art videoconferencing equipment.

The five schools that received donations are Basseterre High School, Cayon High School, Charles E. Mills Secondary School, Saddlers Secondary School, and Washington Archibald High School. These AVer A30 universal cameras will help host virtual meetings with sister schools in Taiwan. Saint Kitts and Nevis Ambassador to Taiwan, His Excellency Donya L. Francis, invites interested secondary and elementary schools to reach out to the Embassy for a possible pairing with a school in Taiwan.

“This sister school program creates mutual benefits for learners in both countries as they can engage in academic, language, social and cultural exchanges that will, without a doubt, broaden their horizons,” said Ambassador Francis.

In 2023, Basseterre High School and Taiwan’s Ger-Jyh Senior High School were the first to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, followed by the Charles E. Mills Secondary School with Dou-nan Senior High School in 2024. The other three schools are actively pursuing their sister school partnerships.

The AVer A30 All-in-one camera is dubbed the world’s first multifunction camera with AI audio for the classroom. Some of the top features include 4K camera quality, flexible camera angles, a picture-in-picture interface, and built-in speakers and microphones with AI audio technology.

The Embassy of Saint Kitts and Nevis thanks Aver Information Inc. (Taiwan) and the Global International Educational Exchanges Major Alliance (GIEEMA) for their generous donation of the AVer A30 All-in-one cameras.
