Basseterre, Saint Kitts (4 February 2025) – On 4th February 2025, Her Excellency Ms. Brenda Wills, High Commissioner of Canada to Saint Kitts and Nevis, paid a courtesy call on Ms. Kaye Bass, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the presentation of her Letter of Introduction to the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Ms. Bass welcomed High Commissioner Wills on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, who is currently off island.

During their meeting, both officials discussed key areas of mutual interest, including food security, manufacturing, education, and security. The exchange reaffirmed the shared commitment of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Canada to strengthening collaboration in these critical sectors, with a view to enhancing economic resilience and human capital development.

The Government of Saint Kitts and Nevis values its long-standing partnership with Canada and looks forward to exploring new avenues for collaboration that drive sustainable development and shared prosperity for both nations.
