“As we embrace the evolving landscape of technology, our rebranded website will serve as a vital resource providing easy access to information, services, and support for everyone who interacts with our departments,” PS Pemberton stated. “Our goal has always been to create a more user-friendly experience that reflects the needs of our stakeholders. Through the feedback and insights gathered from you, our team has worked diligently to ensure that this website not only looks modern but also functions seamlessly, allowing us to connect more effectively with the communities we serve.”

Minister responsible for Information, Communications, and Technology, the Honourable Konris Maynard, remarked that the rebranding goes beyond a fresh visual identity, reflecting the government’s deep commitment to improving how it connects with citizens.

“In today’s digital age, an effective online presence is crucial for any organisation, especially one that serves the public,” Minister Maynard stated. “Our new website is designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and informative, ensuring that every citizen can easily find the information and the services that they need. This rebranded website will serve as a gateway to government resources, reflecting our mission to bring governance closer to the people.”

The redesigned website introduces several key features and enhancements, including a sleek, modern interface for a more intuitive experience; improved navigation and user experience across all devices with mobile responsiveness for easy access on smartphones and tablets. It also features integrated digital services, including government email requests, a government telephone directory, and .KN domain requests; real-time updates and announcements to keep the public informed; enhanced cybersecurity and data protection features to safeguard users, and dedicated web pages for more efficient service delivery.

In addition to the platform launch, the ceremony also provided an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the accomplishments of staff members who successfully completed training programmes with the University of the West Indies (UWI) Global Campus. The staff members gained valuable expertise in key areas including Customer Service, Introduction to Human Resource Management, Office Administration: Principles & Practices, Supervisory Management, and Business Writing & Communication. These achievements highlight the department’s ongoing investment in professional development and capacity building, ensuring that the team is well-equipped to drive the nation’s digital transformation forward.

This rebranding represents a crucial step in ensuring the Department of Technology meets the evolving needs of the public while reinforcing the government’s commitment to digital transformation and continuous professional growth.
