Basseterre, Saint Kitts, April 16, 2025 (PMO) — In a landmark initiative aimed at youth empowerment and sports development, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew has announced the launch of a national basketball camp and 3-on-3 tournament scheduled for this Easter weekend, April 19th – 23rd.
The event, organized by the Office of the Prime Minister in collaboration with the Department of Sports, the St. Kitts-Nevis Amateur Basketball Association (SKNABA), and the Achievers Sports Club, will feature participation from collegiate coaches and NBA stars.
The camp will be held in Saint Peter’s and Sandy Point, aiming to inspire youth, promote physical activity, and revitalize the national basketball scene. The initiative is part of the government’s broader commitment to youth development and community engagement.
“This will reach out to scores of young men — and we want to include women as well,” said Dr. Drew. “We’re bringing positivity to the streets and our communities. This is about putting some pep back into sport.”
