His Excellency Donya L. Francis, Saint Kitts and
Nevis’ Ambassador to Taiwan, expresses sincere
gratitude to the Taipei Veterans General Hospital for
their continued partnership with Saint Kitts and Nevis.

“The Taipei Veterans General hospital is a true friend
and partner of Saint Kitts and Nevis, as they
continually extend themselves to support and build
our healthcare system through training and
donations,” Ambassador Francis said.

The seed instructors crafted two teaching modules for
schizophrenia and anxiety disorders. They also
developed two educational tools to support mental
health awareness in the Federation.

They endeavor to change the look of psychiatry on the
islands by educating other mental health professionals,
campaigning to reduce stigma and discrimination, and
advocating for patients.

The training program began on April 9, 2025. The
participants were assigned to the psychiatry
departments of the Taipei Veterans General Hospital,
the Taipei Veterans General Hospital Yuli branch and
the Taipei City Hospital SongDe Branch. The
participants were also able to explore Taiwan in their
free time.

On behalf of the Government and people of Saint
Kitts and Nevis, Ambassador Donya L. Francis thanks
Taiwan ICDF for designing this significant project for
Saint Kitts and Nevis; thereby, further investing into
the enhancement of our healthcare system.
