“Cuba’s public health system and biotechnology sector represent a model of efficiency and innovation despite resource constraints. The approach aligns perfectly with our vision for strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the Caribbean,” Prime Minister Drew noted.

He continued, “We’re not just looking at individual products, we’re exploring how to integrate Cuban expertise into our public health leadership to create more robust, prevention-focused healthcare systems.”

The visit concluded with both parties agreeing to initiate immediate steps to collaborate on several initiatives that would advance health and public health systems in St. Kitts and Nevis and across the region.

Most importantly, the Prime Minister emphasized that cooperation between both countries must be based on international standards and must continue to uphold international humanitarian law.
