In her congratulatory remarks, Director Karimu Byron Caines commended the inmates for their courage and commitment to growth.
“This journey required courage, self-reflection, and the willingness to embrace change. You each made the decision to participate, to learn, and to grow. That decision marks a turning point, one that demonstrates strength and a genuine commitment to a better future. I commend you for that,” she stated.
Director Byron Caines also expressed gratitude to the many key partners whose support was vital to the program’s success. Special thanks were extended to the facilitators, the officers of the Nevis Prison Farm, as well as administrative personnel, and members of the His Majesty’s Prison management team, notably Ms. Carolyn Brownbill and Miss Virgil Hodge. Special commendation is extended to Officer Junie Fergus for his exceptional hospitality and consistent assistance to the team throughout the duration of the program. His support significantly contributed to the smooth facilitation of sessions and the overall success of the initiative.
