St. George’s, Grenada, July 29, 2025 (SKNIS):   Tangible success stories of African-Caribbean cooperation were highlighted by Prime Minister, the Honourable Dr. Terrance Drew, during his address at ACTIF2025, on July 29, spotlighting how the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis has led the charge in transforming vision into action.

Recounting a series of historic exchanges that began with a summit in Basseterre, Dr. Drew shared how a partnership with Aquarian Consult in Nigeria led to reciprocal visits between Africa and the Caribbean, including a cultural delegation to Saint Kitts and Nevis featuring athletes, artists, and business leaders. The result? Cultural exchange, investment conversations, and even a friendly football match that brought together youth from both regions.

“In Saint Kitts, there was a real fusion of the cultural expressions of West Africa with those of Saint Kitts and Nevis… Out of that game, I’m sure relationships were formed that will last a lifetime,” said Prime Minister Drew. “It is not difficult. It is possible.”

Dr. Drew also spotlighted new educational partnerships with institutions in Tanzania and Kenya, positioning young people from the Federation to lead in a globally connected economy. He made it clear that these efforts are only the beginning.

“I say all of this to say, it’s already happening. And we are here to ensure we accelerate the process,” he affirmed.

Prime Minister Drew announced that Saint Kitts and Nevis has already signed two agreements with Afreximbank, with a third expected to be signed during ACTIF2025. These include projects targeting private sector investment, proof of the Federation’s growing global influence.

“Our size has never defined us. It’s not about land mass, it’s about leadership, partnerships, and strategic execution,” he said. “Saint Kitts and Nevis continues to lead by example, uniting vision with action, and people with opportunity.”
