Taipei, Taiwan, November 17, 2025 (PMO) — Prime Tron-E Energy Technology Corporation, a leading manufacturer of sustainable electric vehicles in Taiwan, has donated two state-of-the-art electric buses to the Government and people of St. Kitts and Nevis. The donation is a major step forward in advancing the Federation’s Sustainable Island State Agenda and its commitment to clean, modern, and accessible transportation.
Prime Minister Drew and his delegation toured the vehicles on Monday, November 17, during their official visit to the Republic of China (Taiwan). The buses were subsequently handed over to the Government following discussions with the company’s President and Vice President, who reiterated Tron-E’s interest in deepening technical cooperation with the Federation.

The Prime Minister expressed gratitude for the donation, noting that the buses will be dedicated to transporting two of the most vulnerable and important groups in society: the elderly and children.
The donated buses are Selectronic-model vehicles, engineered and designed by Tron-E Energy Technology Corporation. They are currently used widely across Asia, the United States, and several regions adopting modern low-emission transportation systems. Their durability, energy efficiency, and low operating cost make them an ideal fit for St. Kitts and Nevis as it modernizes the public transport ecosystem.
Prime Minister Drew emphasized that the buses directly align with the country’s Sustainable Island State Agenda, which prioritizes renewable energy integration, climate-smart infrastructure, and environmentally responsible transportation.

“This donation moves us another step closer toward a resilient, cleaner, and more sustainable St. Kitts and Nevis,” the Prime Minister said. “It demonstrates the type of forward-thinking partnerships that will help transform our transportation sector.”
The buses are scheduled to arrive in the Federation in early 2026, where they will be prepared for phased integration into community and social-support transport services.
The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis extends its deep appreciation to Tron-E Energy Technology Corporation and to the Government and people of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their continued, meaningful cooperation.
