Basseterre, St. Kitts – July 21, 2026 — The St. Kitts and Nevis Medicinal Cannabis Authority (MCA) has successfully concluded its four-week Responsible Use Campaign, an educational initiative aimed at increasing public awareness and understanding of responsible cannabis use, safety, and legal considerations.
Guided by the theme “Informed Use. Safer Outcomes”, the campaign was launched as part of the MCA’s ongoing commitment to public education and informed decision-making, the campaign provided the public with clear, accessible information on responsible cannabis practices through a series of engaging platforms and community-focused discussions.
Over the four-week period, the MCA delivered a range of educational content across its social media platforms, including informative posts, videos, and interactive engagements focused on key topics such as responsible consumption, safe storage, youth protection, respecting shared spaces, and understanding the legal framework surrounding cannabis in St. Kitts and Nevis.
The campaign also extended beyond digital platforms through a radio interview, which provided an opportunity for deeper discussion on responsible cannabis use and allowed members of the public to gain further insight into the Authority’s role and mandate.
Additionally, the MCA participated in the Minister’s Quarterly Press Conference, where representatives shared updates on the Authority’s work and highlighted the importance of continued public education as the cannabis industry develops locally.
Chief Executive Officer of the Medicinal Cannabis Authority, Nadiv Mills, expressed satisfaction with the response to the campaign and emphasized the importance of maintaining open conversations around cannabis awareness.
“Public education remains at the heart of our work. As the industry continues to evolve, it is important that individuals have access to accurate information that empowers them to make responsible choices,” Mills said.
The Responsible Use Campaign forms part of the MCA’s broader public awareness efforts to promote a safe, informed, and responsible cannabis environment in St. Kitts and Nevis.
