“We do want to ensure that this policy represents the views, thoughts and aspirations of the entire nation of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis,” said Minister Richards. “As such, we will be comprehensively engaging all citizens in the discussion.”

Minister Richards said that this policy will mainstream youth work within the planning policy and projects of both the government and the private sector.

“Thus by you making your contribution to this policy we can design a future that embraces tomorrow’s leaders, which are our young people of today,” said the minister.

The youth minister said that it is the government’s target to table the policy within the House soon and design and implement the appropriate strategic plan which will place the important work of developing youth at the forefront of national development.

“I wish to commend the diligence and fervour which the special advisor within the Ministry of Youth, Mr. Vernon Connor brings to this critical process,” said Minister Richards.
