Her Excellency Ms. Janet Douglas CMG, the new British High Commissioner to Saint Kitts and Nevis yesterday (Thursday, January 18, 2018) paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Sir S. W. Tapely Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP Governor General at Government House.

His Excellency welcomed the new High Commissioner and reflected on the longstanding relationship between the United Kingdom and Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Her Excellency is a career diplomat who has served in the diplomatic service over the past thirty (30) years in various capabilities in the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office in Southern, Central and West Africa, Turkey and Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean in succession to Mrs. Victoria Dean.

Her Excellency was scheduled to present her letters of introduction to the Honourable Prime Minister and pay courtesy calls on the Premier of Nevis and Minister of Foreign Affairs as well as the Leader of the Opposition.
