Among the congregation on the grounds of the St. George’s Anglican Church were Prime Minister, Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, and Senior Minister and Minister of Ecclesiastical Affairs, the Honourable Vance Amory, along with their Cabinet colleagues Honourable Eugene Hamilton, Honourable Wendy Phipps and Cabinet Secretary Josephine Huggins.

The event was organized by the Ecclesiastical Affairs Committee of the Ministry with responsibility for Ecclesiastical Affairs. It observed the theme: “Manifesting the Light of His Glory.”

The gathering offered up prayers for the church, social order, the Nation, and a quiet hurricane season.

Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs, Ron Dublin-Collins, expressed pleasure with the number of persons who participated in the service as it represented “a gathering together for prayer, for each other, for our community, and for our nation.”

The interdenominational service was led by members of the St. Kitts Christian Council and the St. Kitts Evangelical Association.
