THIS IS FOR THE LEEWARD ISLANDS AND BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
…TROPICAL DEPRESSION NUMBER 2 HAS ENTERED THE MONITORED AREA…
AT …11AM/ ECT OR 1500Z TROPICAL DEPRESSION NUMBER 2 WAS LOCATED
NEAR LATITUDE 10.2 NORTH, LONGITUDE 41.4 WEST OR ABOUT 1440 MILES
EAST-SOUTHEAST OF THE LEEWARD ISLANDS OR ABOUT 1635 MILES EASTSOUTHEAST
OF THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS.

THIS DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARDS THE WEST AT NEAR 16 MPH (26
KM/H). A FAST WESTWARD TO WEST- NORTHWESTWARD MOTION IS
EXPECTED THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 35 MPH (55 KM/H) WITH HIGHER
GUSTS. SOME STRENGTHENING IS POSSIBLE LATER TODAY OR ON FRIDAY
BASED ON THE LATEST INFORMATION, THE DEPRESSION COULD
DEGENERATE INTO A TROUGH OR LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM BEFORE IT
REACHES THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN.

HOWEVER, IF THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN, WATCHES AND WARNINGS WILL BE
REQUIRED WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS.

RESIDENTS ARE ASKED TO MONITOR THIS SYSTEM CLOSELY, AS QUICK
ACTION MAY BE REQUIRED TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY.
THE NEXT BULLETIN WILL BE ISSUED AT AROUND 5:30 PM. FORECASTER
