In extending congratulations to the President of Argentina, His Excellency Mauricio Macri, Prime Minister Harris stated that, “Despite the struggles faced during the pursuit of Argentina’s Independence, Argentina’s resilience and success are illustrated in its wealth of resources, infrastructure and development in a wide spectrum of fields, such as its rich culture, extraordinary health care system, technological advancement and electronic communications system.”

Dr. Harris further stated that the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis values its traditional bonds of friendship with the Republic of Argentina and “pays tribute to the sterling contributions that the Government of Argentina has made to the development of our people and society.”

St. Kitts and Nevis and Argentina established diplomatic relations in December, 1988.

“We commend your Government in particular for the White Helmets Commission, which continues to lend humanitarian support to countries experiencing natural and other disasters in order to restore stability, peace and normalcy. We welcome further opportunities for cooperation in this and other areas as well as dialogue on issues of bilateral, regional and multilateral interest,” added Prime Minister Harris, who extended best wishes for continued guidance, strength, peace and prosperity to President Macri, as well as to the people of the Republic of Argentina.
