Please be advised that the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis will close its offices this afternoon [Thursday, September 13th, 2018] effective 1:30pm until 8:00am tomorrow morning, due to the impending passage of Tropical Storm Isaac over the Federation.

The Government encourages the private sector to do the same, in the interest of ensuring the public’s safety.

Essential services and the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport will remain operational.

The MET Office advises that, as we move into the evening, the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis will be impacted by moderate to heavy rain showers accompanied by gusty conditions and possible thunderstorms.

Tropical Storm Isaac has maximum sustained winds of 45 miles per hour. Gradual weakening is forecast later as Isaac moves through the eastern Caribbean.

The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis advises the public to listen out for important updates from the MET Office and NEMA on local radio stations.

We thank you sincerely for your cooperation and assistance.
