October 14, 2018 (Embassy of St. Kitts and Nevis in Republic of Cuba): The Federation’s Ambassador to the Republic of Cuba, Her Excellency Mrs. Verna Mills was invited to submit a brief video presentation to the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) on the role of female diplomats in today’s world. The video will be shown during the 12th World Congress of Consuls, which took place in Brussels, Belgium from 4-7 October 2018.

The FICAC is an internationally recognized NGO with backing from the UN, the OAS and the EU. It was founded over thirty-five (35) years ago in 1982, in Copenhagen. The objective of the organization is to provide a forum for consuls to share experiences and co-ordinate efforts, which will help to enhance their status and effectiveness. It also seeks to bring together under one banner, the Consular Associations and Corps from all around the globe.
