ST. KITTS SHINES AS A CRUISE DESTINATION IN 2018 BREA REPORT

Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 19, 2018 (SKNIS): According to the 2018 BREA Report –the economic impact study for the region, which is done every three years– St. Kitts continues to shine as a top ranking cruise destination.

St. Kitts excels in relation to the “How satisfied were you with your purchased tour?” question, placing #2 behind Cozumel in Mexico out of the 36 destinations studied.  Concerning purchased tours in St. Kitts, 75 percent of respondents said they were extremely satisfied and 16 percent said they were very satisfied.

St. Kitts also ranks #2 on the “How satisfied were you with overall prices in destination?” question, with 44 percent of respondents saying they were extremely satisfied and 31 percent saying they were very satisfied with overall prices in St. Kitts.  Cozumel, Mexico ranks first on this question.

St. Kitts ranks #3 on the “How satisfied were you with your overall shopping experience in destination?” question, with 52 percent saying they were extremely satisfied and 28 percent saying they were very satisfied with their overall shopping experience in St. Kitts.

St. Kitts ranks #3 on the “How satisfied were you with cleanliness of the transport in destination?” question, with 76 percent saying they were extremely satisfied and 15 percent saying they were very satisfied.

St. Kitts also ranks #3 on the “How satisfied were you with professionalism of the driver in destination?” question, with 77 percent saying they were extremely satisfied and 14 percent saying they were very satisfied.

Additionally, St. Kitts ranks #3 on the “How satisfied were you with taxis and/or local transportation in destination?” question, with 69 percent saying extremely satisfied and 19 percent saying very satisfied in relation to St. Kitts.

St. Kitts ranks #5 on the “How satisfied were you with your overall visit to destination?” question and 1st among the primarily English-speaking destinations on the list.

Fifty-eight percent of respondents said they were extremely satisfied while 25 percent were very satisfied with their overall visit to St. Kitts.  On this question, Cozumel and Puerto Vallarta both in Mexico rank 1stand 2nd, respectively, with Dutch territories Curaçao and Aruba placing 3rd and 4th, respectively.

St. Kitts also places 5th in respect to the question, “How did your visit to destination meet your expectations?”  Forty-eight percent of respondents said their visit to St. Kitts greatly exceeded their expectations while 28 percent said their visit exceeded their expectations.
