The Permanent Secretary was on hand to welcome them back to the Federation on Tuesday.

The team lead by Dr. Ricaldo Neil, who serves as advisor, seemed very enthused about their Dubai experience.

SOUNDBITE “We literally travelled half way around the world and came back. Yeah, we were in Dubai for a week. The good thing about this one is that we had past members who were volunteers with the First Global Team. St. Kitts and Nevis are a part of First Global permanently.”

SOUNDBITE: Dr. Neil spoke about the success of the team, “In terms of the team we did extremely well. We performed well. We did well in the matches. We had to “carry” alot of the other alliances (other friendly teams), which is something we are always proud of.”

Dr. Neil explained that the St. Kitts – Nevis Team is strong because it makes use of collaborations. This year, past team member, Zhavier Shaw travelled as part of the entourage as mentor to new team members.

According to Dr. Neil the Dubai experience was excellent. They were treated as royalty and accommodated at a five-star hotel. The St. Kitts Nevis Consul General in Dubai, Mr Justin Hawley was in contact with the team during their visit and ensured that all was well with them.

The team consists of students from the Information Technology Department of the Technical Vocational Education and Management Studies at the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College.
