Basseterre: St. Kitts, Tuesday, September 14, 2021: The Ministry of Education (MOE) remains vigilant to the impact that COVID-19 is having on the education of the young peoplewithin St. Kitts and Nevis. The disruption at the start of the new school year because of COVID-19 has already impacted face-to-face instruction of students in two secondary schools.
Both the Charles E. Mills Secondary School (CEMSS) and the Washington Archibald High School (WAHS) have had to revert to remote learning. The decision to transfer the mode of learning in these institutions aligns with the Health and Safety protocols outlined in the MOE Guidelines for the Re-opening of Schools 2021-2022. This document ensures the continuity of learning for students so as to minimize the worsening situation in relation to education brought about by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
