​A BILL to amend the Vehicles and Road Traffic Act Cap. 15.06.

​

​BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. Short title.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Vehicles and Road Traffic(Amendment) Act, 2021.

2. Interpretation.

In this Act, 

“Act” means the Vehicles and Road Traffic Act Cap. 15.06.

3. Amendment of section 62.

The Act is amended in section 62 by replacing subsection (5), as follows

“(5) Every motor vehicle, other than a motorcycle or agricultural tractor, shall be fitted with a windscreen that provides ample protection to the driver of the motor vehicle and the windscreen shall (a) be kept in such condition as to allow an unobsctructed view of the road at the front of the vehicle; and (b) not be tinted more than ten inches from the top of the windscreen for the purpose of providing protection as a sun visor and that tinting shall be in accordance with the provisions of subsection (6).”.
